Meet Our Coaches

Mark Mattar co-founder

Mark, a former varsity high school player who actively participated in various AAU programs, has always harbored a lifelong passion for the game of basketball. Over the years, he has accumulated several years of experience working with and mentoring troubled youth through sports and other programs during his tenure at the YMCA.

Currently, Mark is the proud father of three boys and has dedicated the past decade to coaching youth sports, imparting his knowledge and love for the game to the next generation.

Erika Driscoll

Voted as Miss Maine Basketball her senior year of high school, Erika went on to play her collegiate basketball career at Stonehill College. She captained her senior year and led her team to a regular season and Conference Championship. Her team played in three NCAA tournaments, making the round of sixteen two times.

After a short stint in the corporate world, Erika worked her way back into basketball and was the lead assistant at her alma mater for one season. Her primary roles included head of recruiting and scouting and player development. She decided to leave the coaching world to spend time at home to raise her four children.

In the past few years, Erika has devoted her time to her family and has coached her children’s youth sports including soccer and basketball in town. She loves coaching and helping young kids develop a love for the game that has given her so much

Matt Selines co-founder
Matt, a former varsity high school player and member of the Greater Boston AAU program in the late 90’s has been active in coaching youth sports for 20 years.  He worked for many years in Dorchester at the Bird Street Community Center bridging the importance of academics and sports with the youth he worked with.  He currently works in the New Bedford public school system at Whaling City Jr./ Sr. High School as a School Adjustment Counselor and is constantly working to get his students engaged in physical activity. 
 
Over the past 10 years Matt has been coaching in the Bridgewater area to help with the positive development of youth in the area.  He started at the YMCA coaching various sports and progressed to co-founding the Southeast Storm.  Matt is committed to teaching the youth on his teams the importance of teamwork, perseverance and fun!  
 
In his spare time he enjoys watching his daughters excel in dance, and hikes with his family
